Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Biznesa procesu reorganizācija komercbankās”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt, kā biznesa procesu reorganizācija tika ieviesta PSB bankā Krievijā, un novērtēt tās ietekmi uz banku un tās klientiem. Darba saturs ir sadalīts trīs daļās. Pirmajā daļā tiek sniegts teorētiskais atspoguļojums ar piedāvātajām biznesa procesu reorganizācijas definīcijām un teorijām (turpmāk - BPR). Darba otrajā daļā ir ietverta vispārīga informācija par PSB Banku Krievijā, un ieviestās BPR analīze. Darba pēdējā daļa ir empīrisks pētījums, kas sniedz kvantitatīvu analīzi par BRP ietekmi, kas ieviesta PSB bankā, Krievijā.

Concept of virtual machine based high resolution display wall

This paper presents the scalability and hardware dependency problems found in existing solutions in the high resolution display wall domain and proposes a new solution. Authors propose hosting the system that provides the visual content for the display wall inside a virtual machine. In such way any needed configuration of displays and resolutions can be applied to the graphics processing unit simulated by the virtualization system. The frame buffer content of the virtual graphics processing unit is then split, encoded with H.264 and sent over gigabit Ethernet as an RTP stream to the display wall. Modeling foreign exchange market activity around macroeconomic news: Hawkes-process approach

We present a Hawkes-model approach to the foreign exchange market in which the high-frequency price dynamics is affected by a self-exciting mechanism and an exogenous component, generated by the pre-announced arrival of macroeconomic news. By focusing on time windows around the news announcement, we find that the model is able to capture the increase of trading activity after the news, both when the news has a sizable effect on volatility and when this effect is negligible, either because the news in not important or because the announcement is in line with the forecast by analysts.
